Care and Support for Rescued Animals

ROLDA is an internationally supported charity dedicated to addressing Romania’s overwhelming homeless animal crisis. Our core work focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats from our private shelters. We also provide practical assistance and education to low-income pet owners in local communities. Beyond Romania, ROLDA advocates for animal rights worldwide and delivers humanitarian aid during times of crisis, such as the war in Ukraine.

Homeless, abused, injured animals in Romania or elsewhere, including Ukraine

Galati, Romania is home to thousands of stray dogs suffering from starvation, disease, and abuse. We need your help to give nutrient meals and essential medical care to these hungry dogs throughout the region. Our sanctuaries only has a capacity for max 700 dogs and a dozen of cats, but our work goes beyond this. We share funds and supplies with other Romanian organizations and approx 40 Ukrainians rescuers who, regardless of bullets and bombs, promise to fight as hard for the animals as the entire nation is fighting for their homeland! ROLDA cannot standby while animals suffer and perish from a lack of food. With your help, thousands of dogs and cats can live better. Please, act now.
