ROLDA is an internationally supported charity dedicated to addressing Romania’s overwhelming homeless animal crisis. Our core work focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats from our private shelters. We also provide practical assistance and education to low-income pet owners in local communities. Beyond Romania, ROLDA advocates for animal rights worldwide and delivers humanitarian aid during times of crisis, such as the war in Ukraine.
Galati, Romania is home to thousands of stray dogs suffering from starvation, disease, and abuse. We need your help to give nutrient meals and essential medical care to these hungry dogs throughout the region. Our sanctuaries only has a capacity for max 700 dogs and a dozen of cats, but our work goes beyond this. We share funds and supplies with other Romanian organizations and approx 40 Ukrainians rescuers who, regardless of bullets and bombs, promise to fight as hard for the animals as the entire nation is fighting for their homeland! ROLDA cannot standby while animals suffer and perish from a lack of food. With your help, thousands of dogs and cats can live better. Please, act now.

Remember Odin? The street cat found clinging to life after a brutal dog attack - bones exposed, skin torn, and barely hanging on?
We have the update we’ve all been waiting for… and it’s the kind that makes every sleepless night, every vet bill, and every moment of worry worth it - he made it through surgery with flying colours! ✨
Odin is on the road to recovery and will hopefully be ready for his forever home soon, thanks to your support ❤️

Meet our brave boy, Bridge!
When the loud shelling began (due to the ongoing war in Ukraine), Bridge likely ran from his home, terrified and disoriented. He ended up stranded on an island, alone and out of reach.
Thankfully, animal rescuers found him just in time and raced him to the vet. Exhausted, malnourished, and injured, Bridge needed urgent care to survive.
We're thankful to share that Bridge is now safe and slowly recovering, but the trauma of his ordeal means he needs ongoing love, patience, and care
Bridge is one of many dogs facing the devastating effects of war. Your support helps us be there for dogs like him when they need us most.
