Remember little Cris? Just a few weeks ago, she was barely holding on.
We rushed her to the vet and tests revealed the heartbreaking truth: she was battling both FIP and a mycoplasma infection.
But today, we have hope!
Cris is fighting, and winning. Her appetite is back (with a serious love for food pouches ), the jaundice has disappeared, and her bloodwork is finally improving.
She still has a long way to go, but her spark is back, but her story isn’t over yet thanks to your support.

Remember Odin? The street cat found clinging to life after a brutal dog attack - bones exposed, skin torn, and barely hanging on?
We have the update we’ve all been waiting for… and it’s the kind that makes every sleepless night, every vet bill, and every moment of worry worth it - he made it through surgery with flying colours! ✨
Odin is on the road to recovery and will hopefully be ready for his forever home soon, thanks to your support ❤️

We're so proud of how far ittle Lew, a blind kitten we operated on earlier this year has come
Her eye surgery went beautifully, but stubborn GI issues meant months of extra treatment (and let’s just say… Lew was not a fan of taking her medicine).
Despite her machete-paw defence tactics , her care team didn’t give up on her. And in the end? It was all worth it ❤️
A few weeks ago, Lew officially took off to her forever home in Scotland, where she was adopted by a kind woman with two other special-needs cats.
She’s now curled up in bed at night, zooming around the house by day, using her litter robot like a pro, and living a life filled with love, mischief, and cuddles.
Her adopter says:
“She has absolutely no fear despite her sight impairment… she’s clever, energetic, and just one of the family now.”
This is why we do what we do.
Thank you for making stories like Lew’s possible.
Thanks a lot!

We’ll never forget the first photo we saw of Odin.
A young street cat, barely two years old, found by one of our ROLDA Heroes, crawling with injuries so severe, his bones were exposed
Local neighbours say he was attacked by dogs. Somehow, Odin escaped, but by the time he was found, infection had already set in, and the pain he was in was unimaginable.
We rushed him to the clinic, knowing time was running out, and that’s where this little warrior’s story begins.
Odin's injuries are severe and he will need surgery and ongoing care, but he isn't ready to give up so we'll be fighting along with him❤️

Little Cris is one of three kittens we rescued last year after their owner passed away.
She is quiet, gentle, and so easy to love. While her sisters were all adopted, Cris kept waiting - healthy, hopeful that her turn would be next
Until one day, she stopped eating, her little body turned yellow, and she could barely lift her head.
We rushed her to the vet, desperate for answers. What followed was a whirlwind of tests, transfers, and heartbreak.
Now, Cris is in intensive care, fighting for her life. And we’re doing everything we can to save her

Our ROLDA rescue family just got a whole lot bigger
We recently partnered with a new ROLDA Hero, an independent rescue organisation in Romania that provides refuge to farm animals who have been discarded.
With your support, we are sponsoring the care of four animals
Four lives. Four stories that deserve a beautiful “after”:
Dante, a piglet born in filth, with sad eyes and an empty belly, is learning, day by day, that some places and people won't hurt him.
Creața, a little lamb abandoned just hours after birth, is now being hand-raised with a bottle and a lot of love.
Mișu, a horse with a terrible diagnosis, but saved with patience, therapy, and endless love.
Victoria, a little goat born in the sanctuary, who came into the world loved and living her best life.
We believe that every animal welfare NGO, no matter how small, deserves support. When it comes to saving animals, there are no borders, only helping hands and open hearts.
Your donations make all of this possible.
If you'd like to be part of giving an animal a second chance, consider donating today ❤️

In May, our amazing ROLDA Hero, Ivan, helped rescue 8 female bulldogs from a puppy mill in Bulgaria. These dogs spent their entire lives being exploited and forced to breed – continuously.
One of the dogs we were able to rescue suffered a prolapse so severe it was mistaken for a tumor! Another underwent surgery on both ears after finding their canals were blocked by large, severe growths.
This experience shows the truth behind puppy mills – that the hidden suffering these dogs go through often go unnoticed.
Every dog we rescued needed immediate care. This care included sterilization, vaccinations, and microchipping. Some of the dogs even needed further surgeries! For the first time in their lives, they were receiving proper care.
At ROLDA, these are sentient beings, not breeding machines.
Because of the generous support we receive from donors, like you, we were able to show these puppies a life of happiness and support! They’re currently living in Sweden, awaiting their forever homes.

Meet our brave boy, Bridge!
When the loud shelling began (due to the ongoing war in Ukraine), Bridge likely ran from his home, terrified and disoriented. He ended up stranded on an island, alone and out of reach.
Thankfully, animal rescuers found him just in time and raced him to the vet. Exhausted, malnourished, and injured, Bridge needed urgent care to survive.
We're thankful to share that Bridge is now safe and slowly recovering, but the trauma of his ordeal means he needs ongoing love, patience, and care
Bridge is one of many dogs facing the devastating effects of war. Your support helps us be there for dogs like him when they need us most.

Help ROLDA continue to save animals in dire need of veterinary assistance, post surgery medical care or sheltering. Watch a few videos that speak about what ROLDA is doing and why:
Meet Milashik, an 8-year-old dog who spent his life on the streets with other dogs. He was always kind and gentle, never hurting anyone. But one day, Yulia, the woman who fed him regularly, noticed something was terribly wrong—Milashik could no longer stand on his hind legs and was dragging them along the ground. Find out more here:

ROLDA is a small charity supported internationally that helps abused, neglected, abandoned dogs in one of the poorest regions in Romania. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless animals, in a responsible and humane way. ROLDA built and runs two private sanctuaries, which are a home for approx 700 dogs, a few cats and a donkey. ROLDA also runs social programs for underprivileged dog owners, providing them food, sterilization and identification for their pets.Other programs include education (the latest is creation of a coloring book which will be distributed for free for kids from rural areas), therapy with dogs for seniors, aid for working animals (donkeys and horses) from poor communities. Our biggest dream is to slowly transform our large sanctuary into a rehoming and rehabilitation center which will serve the next generations of local animal lovers (and animals in need) for years to come. We already have a name for this masterpiece: PawzUp Center. The easiest way to support ROLDA is to become a member on Teaming. For just 1 Euro/month you can provide quality food for a dog that has nobody else to help him. For 1 Euro/month you can help a hungry dog to get nutrient food which is the basic condition to keep our furry babies healthy until we find them forever homes.
ROLDA websites cover multiple subjects: from a website where you can meet our dogs, a website where you can learn more about online alerts and campaigns, a website dedicated to legacy giving, a website about crypto currencies giving (yes, we must make a step into future and cover this subject as well), a web section from where you can shop hand made items created in Romania to help animals in need. The webs section about PawzUp project is coming soon.

How can my gift help the neglected animals in Romania?
When our group has 10 members, that means 10 Eur raised = one dog food for a whole month.
When we'll grow to 135 members, that will cover the cost of a doghouse = Every month, we can deliver a doghouse to a dog in need only using the 1Eur donation which every member of this group gives here.

Doghouses are made in Italy; insulated and can accommodate up to 2 medium size dogs. Doghouses are easy to clean and disinfect. These are ideal homes for dogs tied up in chains by their owners and exposed to extreme weather conditions. Our aim is to deliver 400 doghouses in the poorest communities by the end of 2019.
