My name is Ernesta Silvana Parisi, and I manage a dog shelter close to Catania, Sicily. Our shelter hosts nearly 60 dogs and 90 cats, many of which are old and with health conditions, and will hardly find a family who wants them. I am sick now and no longer able to work full time, my fantastic team of volunteers is helping every day, but the daily expenses became unbearable.
